Before the snow flies...

We have a really steep roof, so if we don't get the Christmas lights on before the snow flies, it is dangerous putting them up on the front of our house - even with a safe ladder like the Little Giant...and, given our families bad history of falling off ladders, well, let's just say I don't like to take that chance...
So, we dug out our lights and started putting them up.
Last year I bought all of the "energy efficient" LED lights, you know, the ones that pay for themselves in five years through electricity savings.  Well, the thing is, or so I learned the hard way, is that even though the lights themselves are advanced, the wires aren't.  Almost all of our expensive LED strands stopped working last year..and since you can only get your money back by mailing in your useless lights (which costs more in postage than the lights), I said, forget that!... and I bought the Target brand lights this year as a replacement.

Nathan wasn't much help, honestly.  He kept taking things out of boxes and making messes.  I also decided to decorate solely the front of the house this year, and not the deck...so, Santa will be waving to all you people as you drive by come Thanksgiving night!

In other news, I did some Thanksgiving decorating... (whew, putting up those three pictures and Paper Turkey on the table was quite the task)....and then we did baths and naps...
