WOOT 2016!

Never give up!

Never surrender!

I made it to 2016....and how I shall start?

Well, we rang in the New Years with my brother and sister and spouses, and then the next day, I sewed and relaxed and worked on this....

On the way to one of my many doctor and physical therapy appointments in January for my hip, I ran into the parking ramp.  :-/

It sounded like a potato chip as I rounded one of those sharp corners...I was so upset!  I just cried all the way to the doctors office, just made at myself.  I've been parking downtown for over 17 years and I know how the ramps are, but I was rushing because I was late, and my Acadia is fat.  Ugh.  Anyways, it is still not fixed, I figure I deserve a dented car...

A few days after that, we went out and got me a new chair for sewing, one of my Christmas presents.  I have to admit, the new chair FELT wonderful and still does...

Here is the project finished...I think I completed it around February, before things got crazy at work.  It is very Christmasy, even though it is not supposed to be...

the boys had skating lessons for two months...it just doesn't come naturally to either of them, although Nathan was close to passing.  We don't have time to do more than one session of skating lessons each year, so it is what it is....at least they have had more training than I ever did (zero!)

We had a little bit of snow in January, but really not much snow at all the whole season, so the few times we had it we really had to enjoy it!

I love how cute the kids are in the snow...they are all troopers out there now!  we will see if Jeffrey has changed much since last year...

Our friends over in early February, late January, and the snow was already sloppy...so they made a snowman!  He didn't last long...

In late December, I had ordered the suits for Kevin and Brittany's wedding.  I could order a complete suit online (excluding shoes) for between $25 to $30 a suit, which was great since Nathan needed one for first communion this year anyways.  Here they are trying them on..what studs!

Haha...Evan and his Olaf socks...

Other randomness...I met Nathan for lunch at school one day...Italian Dunkers!  OMG so good...

I really enjoyed the whole lunch...

Chris and I went ice fishing late January...my ARSE was still  hurting so bad that I remember the cold bucket felt good to ice the pain away....

Jeffrey playing...

so I took the boys to the outside rink a couple times to practice for skating...they both ended up bawling...Nathan couldn't do his "swizzles", and Evan couldn't lift one foot up and glide...although, at their next session, they both magically passed...

Did a little crocheting...

Made this beauty for a wedding shower gift...

Watched the sunrise at work...gosh I miss this view!
