Summer's last hurrah...

September flew by, as usual, and summer tried to hang on, as it always does...

Edwin got baptized, so we got some nice family pictures out of that...

Work was overwhelming this time of year, as usual, so the boys had to come into the office with me one day, since Daddy wasn't home.  They were good, I turned on a movie and they sat....

Edwin so sweet!

Looking out Mommy's window at work....

Mystro helping me with one of my favorite returns (insert sarcasm)

Bonfires!  Some of our last ones for the year....

We make yummy sandwiches in our cast iron makers...

September means you have to start thinking of Halloween if you have kids...Jeffrey was in between so many costumes that they other boys wore!  He didn't really fit in the dragon...

And the cow was too long, but also too tight in his inseam....he also said he hated it...but I thought he was very cute....

Oh look, more baptism pics, but out of order....

Evan pouting....haha...there is always one....

They got to help the priest.....

Afterwards we went to Auntie Karen's...here are Jeffrey's cousins making sure he got home safe....

This is the costume Jeffrey decided he wanted...:-)

Evan wanted to be a Red PowerRanger!  go go Power Rangers!

Can you tell who Nathan is?  He was so excited to be Harry, but then his cousins totally copied him, and he wasn't as excited after that.  I totally understood that....I hated being copied too!  Get your own ideas people! I told Nathan never again to tell people what he plans on being.....

It was kind of monsoon season here again....

Our neighbors had a river...I was hoping this wetness would continue into winter and we would have lots and lots of snow, but no luck.  It barely snowed at all last year....

I made some really cool pie potholders!

We went to a parade.   It sucked.  Not sure why we bothered, there were like two floats and the band didn't even come by because it was sprinkling.

I continued to make pancakes....this must have been before I discovered the cast iron skillet works best!

I finished piecing a quilt I had started six months earlier (note I still haven't finished this)...

More pie potholders!!!  This was going to be a housewarming present, but since that never happened, they went to other people.  I may have to make some more of these cuties this year....

Bye Bye Babies! Back to school 2016...

My goal this week is to do a few blog posts...we shall see if that happens!  I am struggling with the scrapbooks, I never seem to have time to get them done or even think about organizing pictures.  But, I did decide to NOT take my quilting class this year I have been taking for some time, so maybe I will be able to catch up on older projects this year and clean some things out.

We start with Jeffrey!  First day of preschool....

He was very excited to go at first...

But then when he had to carry his bag, he wasn't too sure...

Such a happy, sad day....so proud of my boy, but wish he could stay little forever....

The first day of third grade for Nathan was a rainy one...Evan went with, as he had a meet and greet and then he got to come back home...

So little....

Evan lucked out and had one of the best teachers we have ever had last year...and she sent lots of pictures...here are some from his first week...

After the boys first full day, we stopped by DQ since they had free coffee drinks.  The lady there gave me a stink-eye for asking for three drinks, so I rarely go to that DQ anymore, because if you are going to give stuff away for free, and then be crabby about it, maybe you shouldn't!

Labor day weekend 2016!

Ever watch Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives?  Well, I do!  And when I see something in Minnesota I think, OMG, gotta go there and try that!

So, we planned a trip with our friends (and their parents who were visiting) to Gordy's Hi Hat the Friday of Labor Day weekend...

This is everything we ordered (yes, we are pigs!)
I remember the burger was delish, the onion rings fabulous, and everything else, meh.  So, definitely always get what they tell you to get on the show!

Jeffrey came along with us, while the two older boys enjoyed their last day in their school program.  Plus, I was a little sad, as this was the last day with my baby before he started preschool.

Look how cute Jeffrey is!  and Look how big these rings are!

Sweetness...here we are waiting for some ice cream...

We stopped and saw a landmark...interesting...

Then we parted ways with our friends, and Chris, Jeffrey and I headed over to Bent Paddle.

They had a Thomas the Tank Engine puzzle there, so Jeffrey enjoyed doing that with us.

The next day we headed over to the Depot for their monthly free project...

The cat guarded the house while we were gone...

Jeffrey fell asleep because I am sure we were running around all weekend...poor boy...

Hanging out at Grandmas, here is Nathan, holding his new cousin, Edwin...

Evan wanted a turn!

These were all the gourds and pumpkins we picked - I really like this picture with Nathan and Grandma...
